Why Astro instead of WordPress?
WordPress runs PHP on every request, pulls in plugins and needs constant security patching. Astro builds finished HTML ahead of time — there is no database to attack and no plugin chain to break. Zero JavaScript ships by default; interactive parts load only where they are actually needed.
How does the site become multilingual?
Every language gets its own translated URLs, not just a switcher over the same content. On top of that come hreflang references between versions, translated metadata and a sitemap that knows every language version. We run exactly this setup in production for English, German and Croatian.
How fast does it actually load?
Statically generated pages need no server rendering and are served straight from the CDN. Combined with WebP images, responsive srcsets and subsetted WOFF2 fonts, Lighthouse scores stay at 95+. Fast pages do not just rank better, they lose fewer visitors while loading.
Can I edit content myself?
For smaller sites we handle text changes as part of the maintenance plan — usually faster than any editing system. If you want to publish regularly yourself, we connect a headless CMS so you edit content and the site rebuilds automatically.
What happens after launch?
On request we take over hosting, SSL, monitoring, backups and updates on a monthly plan. Either way you receive the complete source code — you are never locked in and can move at any time.
